Anyone wishing to speak to the Parks and Recreation Commission is asked to fill out a speaker card and give that card to staff prior to the commencement of the meeting. Public comments may also be submitted by email at publiccomments@cityofartesia.us before 4:00 pm on the date of the meeting. Any public comments that cannot be heard within the next 20 minutes will be heard at the end of the meeting. If a member of the public submits a speaker card for an item on the agenda, the public comment will be given when the Commission addresses the item. Public comments for items not listed on the agenda will be heard at this time. Under the provisions of the Brown Act, the Commission is prohibited from taking action on items that are not listed on the agenda, but may refer the matter to staff or to a subsequent meeting.
