2.A. Consideration and Action Regarding Resolution No. 2025-09, Canvassing Return and Declaring the Results of an Election held on May 3, 2025, for the Purpose of Electing Councilmember Place 1, Councilmember 3, and Councilmember Place 5--Vicky Vega, City Secretary
City Secretary Vega stated that Resolution No. 2025-09 canvasses the official results of the May 3, 2025 Election. The results are as follows.

Motion was made by Councilmember St. Clair and seconded by Councilmember Bighorse to approve Resolution No. 2025-09 as presented. Motion passed unanimously. 6-0-0-1 (Mayor Flippo Absent)
2.B. Presentation to Outgoing Councilmember Cindy Bighorse--Paul Felegy, Mayor Pro-Tem
Mayor Pro-Tem Felegy presented flowers and a service recognition award to outgoing Councilmember Bighorse.
2.C. Oath of Office for Councilmember Place 1, Councilmember 3, and Councilmember Place 5--Vicky Vega, City Secretary
City Secretary Vega administered the Oath of Office to Paul Felegy, Councilmember Place 1; Valerie Junkersfeld, Councilmember Place 3; and Shawn Morrison, Councilmember Place 5.
2.D. Action Regarding Funding of the 2025 Independence Celebration Fireworks Event -- Pedro Zambrano, Director of Economic & Community Engagement
The Advisory Recreation and Parks Board has voted to recommend approval of the funding for the 2025 Independence Celebration Fireworks Event. The event will be held at Saginaw High School on Saturday, June 28th. This year's event will include live music on stage. Turnip Blood Entertainment will handle this portion of the event. The estimated total for the event is $27,085 (stage, bands, and production team: $20,000; generators $1,650; tables and chairs $435; and activities such as face painting, bounce houses, caricature artist, rock climbing, etc. $5,000). Total cost from the Parks Donation Fund is $17, 085. Total cost from HOT (promotion of the arts) is $10,000. All sponsorship funds and other fees will be used to offset the use of the donation funds.
Motion was made by Councilmember Junkersfeld and seconded by Councilmember Morrison to approve the funding for the 2025 Independence Celebration Fireworks Event as presented. Motion passed unanimously. 6-0-0-1 (Mayor Flippo absent)
