ACTION: The City Council tentatively authorized a settlement in the matter of Dana Sukarieh v. City of Glendora, Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. 24PSCV03167, in the amount of $150,000, contingent upon review and execution of a final settlement agreement. Additional cases were discussed, and no other reportable actions were taken.
— CS1 - CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION A closed session will be held, pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(d)(1), to confer with legal counsel regarding pending litigation to which the City is a party. The title of such litigation matters are as follows: Dana Sukarieh vs. City of Glendora, Los Angeles Superior Court Case Number 24PSCV03167; Diane Bularz v. REORDERING OF AND ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA
PUBLIC COMMENT
The City of Glendora encourages community participation at its public meetings. Speakers are limited to three minutes, and time may not be shared or transferred. A total of 30 minutes is reserved for public comment, which may be extended by majority vote of the legislative body. At regular meetings, comments may address both agenda and non-agenda items during the Public Comment portion, with additional opportunities to speak provided during Public Hearings. At special meetings, public comment is limited to agenda items. Residents may participate in person or submit comments by email, phone, mail, or other available methods. Participation options may be adjusted if a State of Emergency, Health Order, or Executive Order limits in-person attendance. Consideration of a Contract Services Agreement with Civiltec Engineering Inc., for the Water Facility Assessment and Improvements Project in an amount not to exceed $352,840
ACTION: Approved. Motion carried 4-0-0-0-1.
Recommended Action for the City Council:— 1. Award an Agreement to Civiltec Engineering Inc., for Professional Engineering Design Services for the Water Storage Facilities Assessments, Safety Upgrades, Rehabilitation, and Water Quality Improvements Project in the amount of $352,840;
— 2. Authorize a ten percent (10%) contingency in an amount $35,284; and
— 3. Authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute the Agreement including minimal and/or non-substantive changes.
Consider a Public Works Agreement with Paveco Construction, Inc., for on-call asphalt repair and maintenance services in an amount not to exceed $850,000 per fiscal year. (RFP No. 9905735)

Recommended Action for the City Council:— 1. Adopt a Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15301(c) of the California Code of Regulations;
— 2. Award a Public Works Agreement to Paveco Construction Inc., for as-needed asphalt maintenance and repair services in an amount not to exceed $850,000 per fiscal year;
— 3. Authorize a ten percent (10%) contingency in the amount of $85,000; and
— 4. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the agreement including making minimal and/or non-substantive changes.
